‘One of the great joys of being a part of a Broadway show, is knowing the heart soaring escape that it might allow our audience members to have for the time they’re sitting in our darkened theater. Periodically we have Make-A-Wish kids come to see the show and these performances have always been a highlight for me personally. I always look forward to getting a chance to stay after the show, to meet the child and their family. After one too many a child having to cancel their visit, I settled upon the idea of bringing Broadway performers to children treatment.

After gathering a few like-minded performers from Phantom and a other Broadway shows, I started calling hospitals around the area, asking if we might come in and sing with the children. And so, Broadway Hearts was born.

In 2018 we became a 501(c)(3), growing from just seven volunteers to over a hundred, and representing nearly every show on Broadway. We’ve expanded from visiting one hospital in NYC to visiting multiple hospitals nationwide and are ever expanding our reach and our programming.

Broadway Hearts grew out of a hope to make a difference in a child’s life, through the healing power of music, song and laughter. It's become a great passion in my own life and I feel very fortunate to be seeing this mission forward with wonderful friends and colleagues by my side.

Broadway Hearts is dedicated to my incredible father, Peter Radetsky.’
