Broadway Hearts grew out of a hope to make a difference in a child’s life, through music, song and laughter. I feel very fortunate to have these wonderful friends by my side, bringing this hope into reality. The children that we visit are exceptional at being present, staying right in the moment they are in, and savoring it all. It is a wonderful lesson to learn and relearn with each visit.

Outreach has always been a significant part of my life, but it became deeply personal in 2009 when I lost my beloved father to BRCA-related pancreatic cancer. Shortly after, I discovered that I, too, carry the BRCA genetic mutation, which predisposes me to several cancers, including pancreatic, ovarian, and breast cancers.

This revelation set me on a quest for knowledge that quickly grew into a passion: helping others navigate the often challenging BRCA world, advocating for the quality of life for both survivors and previvors, and raising vital funds for genetic cancer research. I always knew in my heart that I wanted to create a foundation to honor my father, but I wasn’t sure what form it would take.

Fast forward a few years, and Broadway Hearts was born.

My ultimate dream for Broadway Hearts is for it to become a household name synonymous with joy and healing. I envision our programming reaching every beautiful child in every children’s hospital around the world, bringing light and hope to their journeys. I’m working hard every day to make this dream a reality.

Broadway Hearts is dedicated to my father Peter Radetsky. My father loved music, he loved science, he was one of the greatest sources of joy in my life and I believe he would love what we’re doing. I don’t know how I ever got so fortunate to be his daughter. I am forever grateful.
