Stacey Schneider
Stacey has been a licensed and practicing Art Therapist in New York and a Certified Child Life Specialist since 1998. The arts have always played such a special role in her personal and professional life. Taking after her mother, an avid crafter at heart, Stacey too has always had a love of crafts. In fact, all types of art and musical expression have been an ever-present outlet for self-expression in her home with her 3 children and husband. This love of the arts is what drove Stacey toward Art Therapy at a very young age.
After becoming an Art Therapist and Child Life Specialist, Stacey started her career in pediatrics and went on to work with families with children of all ages, levels of development and with a wide range of illnesses. This is where she was first introduced to Jessica Radetsky and her amazing mission/vision for Broadway Hearts.
When Jessica approached and shared the depth and breadth of her hopes for Broadway Hearts, Stacey was mesmerized. She was honored to be asked to help craft language that would help others understand just how important the partnership is between Broadway Hearts and hospital communities.
Since that time, Stacey has had a front row seat to just how tireless the Broadway community works toward helping children and their families to feel special, during times when illness has become central in their lives. Broadway Hearts seeks to give these families an opportunity to leave the illness behind for just a moment and remember that there are family memories to be made, even in times of great struggle. And…they do it in a way that only Broadway can!
